FELONY THEFT

Between Friday, January 22nd and Friday, January 29th, 2010, persons unknown disassembled and removed six solar panels at the Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Solar Array at the UNM Klaur Campus.

The solar panels at the KCEC Solar Array are rated at 190 watts each and the estimated cost of the six solar panels to be approximately six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500.00). With labor, the cost to repair and replace the Solar Panels is $9,157.69. The theft of the six solar panels from the KCEC Solar Array affect the energy generated by the other solar panels that were connected in series thereby affecting energy generation to the entire row of solar panels connected in series . The total energy loss per day and to date has not been determined at this time.

Taos County Undersheriff Ed Romero is seeking the public's help to retrace the where-abouts of Samuel Padilla during the hours prior to the fatal crash on Friday, April 24th of 2009 at about 5:30 PM.

Taos County Sheriff's Officers want to know where Padilla was drinking prior to the collision that killed an Albuquerque man and injured his wife and three children.
